Hi Zoe - I love how you note that after being involved in the process that the children now "want to share their documentation with others". I think this speaks volumes to the fact that we love to connect with others and our current tools help enable us, regardless of age, to fulfill that need on previously inconceivable scales. I am noticing this in my own daughter (kindergartener last year)vand also, however, that she is aware of things she doesn't want shared, too. She gets that some things are just for family or not appropriate to broadcast to the world. The ability to share what we want coupled with the awareness of things we and others wouldn't want shared seem like to interrelated and equally important 21st century skills. Thank you for raising my awareness to them!

Hi Zoe,
Let me know if they ever want to skype or etc. with me. I'd be able to give them some fun things to think about! Maybe a lesson on emotion elevator or a story about a boy that moves around the world. Take care

My favorite line:

<i>"When you get to be a grown up you forget what you did last year."</i>

Yup. That's about right! Love that your students are asking to document and track their work. What a mature outlook! I love Ben's ideas about Instagram, could be a great way to enhance your community through a different communication medium.

I absolutely love this video! You guys did such a great job expressing the frustration and confusion that teachers feel when confronted with new challenges and support that doesn't actually support. I know I've said the "just...." about a million times, but thanks to you guys I'm being much more conscious of exactly which words I use (well, I'm trying). Thanks for contributing to this team - I'm really looking forward to seeing what kinds of action research develop from this.

Love it! So proud of you Zoe! It is so amazing what putting yourself out there can do. The connections you've made are so meaningful and deep - and that's because of your willingness to share and connect. Keep it up, superstar!
