I like the idea of using the passport as a license. Yes educating the parents is on our list too. Id be interested in seeing what your doing at your school. -

Thanks Mary
I was thinking the ES could be giving the HS kids advice after taking the Digital Passport
But seriously it would be great to have that mentorship in our school. -

Thanks for the comment. Always learnign new ways to use tech to enhance learning. Sometimes it falls flat, other times it works great, I guess the big lesson here is to really know your students and curriculum! -

In my school, the whole digital citizenship aspect of learning is quite new. What we are not realizing is that there are many similarities between online and face to face. This lesson was developed with another <a href="http://www.coetail.com/" […]

I enjoyed reading this post. I like your take on bullies having a new tool at their disposal. It certainly makes bullies ‘anonymous’ and also not accountable for their actions, which makes cyber-bullying all that […]

Love this idea of a matrix. Do you have an example I could show my tech team?
Thanks!

I second that! It was almost surreal meeting you in person, as I’ve known you know for a year and a half virtually! My students really enjoyed the Skype call the other day. Looking forward to meeting up again next […]

Jeff, couldnt agree more. Just as I pressed ‘send’ yesterday I also thought about the power of the hyperlink. Connecting (referencing) ideas within a post. Perhaps one of the most powerful tools around. Just a click away.

Teaching students to make good decisions always needs to be explicit. Digital or otherwise. Its something that often is overlooked as if kids somehow inherently know how to do this just because they are […] -

Thanks Beth. When I reflect on my use of tech at home, I find I am online TOO much. My own children see this too. It really is about balance. Thanks for the reminder. Now, off to play with my kids!
