Putting it All Together

So there I was, watching my colleagues present their amazing work, scrambling to give feedback between each presentation, and all the while thinking – why didn’t I make notes??? Oh well – into the line of fire!

People say I look confident when I present, but it surprises me every time I hear that. The truth is my mind goes blank 50% of the time I’m up there, but the minute I sit down I remember everything I meant to say. What did I forget? Well, I wanted to get back to the idea of my background image of all these cogs working together to make the point that I found my digital tools could work in a similar way. What else? Well, that we had just finished uploading the Voice Threads in the blog and did not get to the next, and most important step, which was to reflect on their learning. You’d think teachers would be more comfortable presenting than most – after all, we are talking in front of a group every day. Oh well.

Here is my first Prezi ever. I’ve come to appreciate its versatility. However, I did admire the simplicity and beauty of my fellow CoETaILers’ zen slide shows. It made me wish I had focused more on delivering my content clearly rather than throwing myself into learning a new medium at the last minute.

Let me finish this post with a heartfelt congratulations to all members of my cohort. I’m so very proud of all of you – all of us!

    Hey Jo,
did you know that Wikipedia is not an acceptable source reference at the college level? Apparently, facts cannot be verified enough for academia. Love the Prezi!

    Hi Lisa,

I didn’t know that about Wikipedia, but I completely understand why and agree. It will push students to look for primary sources and other reliable online facts.

Thanks for the compliment. It isn’t stand alone as is; your comment made me wonder if I should modify it so that it could be.
