Less than two weeks till the EARCOS cohort meets in Bangkok. During our CoETaIL preconference slot, all participants will present our final project to each other, and to Jeff and Kim. I’ve done all the prep & leg work, students have finished the unit, and I’ve accumulated the evidence of my tech integration in neat little folders, … so now what?
Well, now I need to organize it all into a presentation. I am dying to know what my cohort colleagues are going to use to present. Will they do a Prezi? Use Google Presentation? A song?
I have to admit, I’m really looking forward to seeing what others will come up with. We’re probably all in the same boat at the moment, wondering how best to show what we’ve learned and a bit nervous about putting ourselves out there. I know I am. But I’m also looking forward to the finish line.
Have you ever run a marathon? I haven’t, but I have run a half marathon and the race itself wasn’t where all the work went; it was in the training. I trained for 5 months to be able to run 21 km. The race went by quickly – but the training … oh boy, all those 5 a.m. runs, they took forever!
Although I’m nervous about presenting on March 28th, I’m looking forward to the post-race party (Jeff promised)! I’m sure we all are.

Hey Josee! If it makes you feel any better I am completely in knots thinking about this presentation and Diana has just stressed me out even more by telling me that Jeff has invited other CoETaIL’ers to our presentations!!! It sounds like you’re mighty organized though. I’m sure you’ll do great!
I am also anxious to see how it all gets presented as well. Diana and I are kind of still digging around trying to find the right tools to use.
Hi Andrew,
I might have everything in folders – but I’m having a really hard time deciding what to do with it all. Ten minutes to present is pretty short. And now you tell me other CoETaIL’ers are coming…oh my!
Hi Josee,
I am also nervous about presenting so soon. I am sure I will learn a lot by being part of it, though.
I am thinking of using Pecha Kucha at the moment. It is because we only have ten minutes to present this time, and we want to focus on the important points. However, I have not put my presentations together, so I may change my mind.
When I present my project for Japanese as a near native students, I would love to hear your opinion, as an ESL teacher.
I am looking forward to seeing you in person, very soon!
Kaori
P.S. Is it true that other COETAIL’ers are coming to watch our presentation? It makes me really nervous!
Hi Kao,
I’m also looking forward to seeing you and our EARCOS colleagues. Yes, I do think ‘others’ might be invited to watch, but since we’re doing it during the pre-conference, I hope it means not too many.
