I’m a Chinese-American New Yorker that teaches in China. That is way more confusing (for everyone involved) than it needs to be.

I am a late bloomer to education. I spent the first few years after college (with anundergrad degree in finance and information systems) working in online magazine marketing. I realized I wanted to try out teaching – and I loved it. Nine school years and a masters degree later, I am teaching kindergarten in Guangzhou, China. If you want to know more about me, here’s my card.

Last February, I attended the Flat Classroom Conference and it changed the way I see the relationship between technology and education.

Given that my career span has included technology and teaching elementary school, I began to be interested and energized in finding the perfect storm between the two and making it my work. I’m inspired by those who have done so and continue to do so, and I feel lucky to be learning from them.
