Thank you for sharing both your triumphs and frustrations with technology. I admire your perseverance in making science education relevant to all of the student constituents you teach. I wish that I had a science teacher like you, you would have given me the confidence to explore areas of science that I am greatly interested in, much earlier in my life. Your willingness to take on a new challenge must be very inspiring to your students. I have always felt that the moment that as educators we stop putting ourselves into situations that are a little bit outside of our comfort zone, is also the moment that we lose touch with what our students face every day of their learning in schools. You are a real leader in always embracing for yourself and your students the next challenge. I'm so happy that you were part of our cohort!

I deeply sympathize with your tantrum-throwing, hair-ripping personal experiences with screen-capturing software. I also admire your persistence - you churned out not just one, not just two, not even just three of these little gems! Bravo! It does make me wonder what percentage of our students might feel much the same way, though. While there are surely more of them who feel completely unfazed by a bit of a snip and a clip and splice of narration splashed on top of a fancy little Camtasia number, than there are of us self-conscious bumblers, do you think that when we ask THEM to do a little screenshot number that there are still just a few who are hoping the earth will open up and swallow them? My heart goes out to them!
